I shudder to think about how much time I’ve put into graphics and presentation design that never saw the light of day, or perhaps did, but to no fanfare. My problem is that I’ve never been satisfied with templates. Everything has to be custom and unique. It took every bit of 20 years before I found “my style”, and that came by way of 3D modeling wherein I could build a scene and control the placement, perspective, shadows, etc. I was getting complements by executives that would stop a presentation and ask, “Who made this deck?” As flattering as that is and all, holy moly you should see what people say about my presentations that I’ve been generating with AI (Flux 1.1 of all things too). It took 24 years of design experience to have the vision and the words to articulate exactly what my mind’s eye sees, and AI not only sees what I do, but sees it in ways I never would’ve dreamed. I’m an artist, and AI is a TOOL that has a steep learning curve no different than Adobe.
