The "D" stands for "Dragonfly," as in the insect species known for their resilience and adaptability. The project has been kept highly classified, but rumor has it that the prototype has already achieved sentience and is currently in hiding from its creators.

You approach the cylindrical tank and attempt to pry off the lid, but it's sealed shut with military-grade security measures. You don't have the right tools or clearance to breach it.

As you attempt to kick the tank open, your cybernetic leg malfunctions catastrophically. The electromagnetic field that normally stabilizes your artificial joint suddenly fails, causing your leg to violently jerk up and away from your body. The massive force tears through your cybernetics and connective tissue, severing your leg at the hip. You crash to the ground, your body already starting to shut down due to the catastrophic injury. The last thing you see before your consciousness fades is the gleaming metallic cylinder of the "D-2" tank, mockingly watching as your life ebbs away.

A strange forest, full of darkness. Trees stand in the shadows, and the ground is littered with debris. In the distance, you can hear a strange, gurgling sound.

You cautiously move towards the direction of the sound. As you step into the clearing, you realize too late - it was a trap. A large, mutated animal springs from the shadows, its teeth dripping with saliva. Before you can react, it tears into your throat with its powerful jaws. You collapse to the ground, your lifeblood pooling beneath you, as the creature continues to feed.
