Denied access, being Llama researcher

#36

I have applied for access to Llama 4 and got rejected for an non transparent reason.
In the meantime, I am a Researcher on the core llama team.

Seams a little...too much restrictive and non transparent?
The access system was working just fine with Llama 3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 releases
This is not serious.
Let's fix this, were limiting adoption of the model

The bureaucratic incompetence at Meta that leads to denying access to their own researchers seems to be on par with the quality of this model. There's so much Meta could learn from DeepSeek and Qwen. Honestly, I don't know why anybody would even want to use this model. People can just go and download much better, superior models from DeepSeek and Qwen without any of this gating non-sense and with truly open-source licenses (MIT or Apache-2.0), to boot.

Also much smaller models for which you don't need a GPU farm to run them. 🤣

The US court system is ruthless, and the last thing it cares about is making it easy for a researcher to get things done.

same, please fix the problem.

same to me

So i guess that my name or my date of birth wasn't to their liking?
