Researchers say the system answers several challenges faced by educators in the classroom, particularly when dealing with larger class sizes. One issue highlighted in the report is the limited interaction between teachers and students. The AI tool could also help in the management of supplies in the classroom, and Mahnim Chen describes the new system as a more hygienic method for learning. The virtual writing and drawing function reduces the need for costly and often shared classroom supplies, such as paper and pens.

Currently, the system offers only writing and drawing modules, and researchers are working on incorporating additional interactive teaching functions, such as quizzes or group discussions to provide a broader range of learning options for students. This AI-powered program significantly reduces the need for tangible classroom supplies, promoting better hygiene in classrooms.

The researchers have patented this ground-breaking concept and are currently in talks with schools and hardware manufacturers in Taiwan to introduce the system into classrooms around the island. They are optimistic that this technology could change the future of education and impact not only handwriting and drawing instruction, but also act as a powerful platform for broader teaching scenarios.
