Still no AI-powered, ‘more personalized’ Siri from Apple at WWDC 25
Apple's grand Annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is a gala event every year. Technology enthusiasts awaiting to witness the new gadgets, apps and updates. But this year, the company set a small flight when it failed to unveil its much hyped AI-powered, 'more personalized' Siri as anticipated. While Apple continues to make strides in other technological fronts, it let down its tech fanatics who were excitedly waiting for it to showcase the advancements it has made in its AI technology.
With Apple's ceaseless efforts in improving Siri's capabilities through machine learning and data gathering, the anticipation was high. The company had previously announced its plans to feature an AI-powered version of Siri that will offer more personalized interactions to its users. Siri, the voice assistant, was first introduced over a decade ago, and in the era of AI advancements, users have always expected Apple to reveal its futuristic developments. But, the company did not ensure to spotlight Siri at the WWDC annual event.
This year's WWDC 2021, despite the absence of Siri, was a bit of a mixed bag. The WWDC Keynote session indeed highlighted several revolutionary tech advancements and user-friendly features such as the new MacOS Monterey, iOS 15, iPadOS improvements and powerful new Apple AR/VR headset.
