I am new to this page, does this program still work? and if so, how does it work? thanks for your help!

This space seems to be out of order. You can try to duplicate it and run it on your own. This has worked for me some days ago. Use the 3 dots button in the right corner and click "duplicate this space"
Other option is to run Whisper in your own Google Colab. Look on GitHub for examples.
Space should work now
